Welp they posted the results of the critique today instead of on monday like they said. Out of 85 seniors, only 8 were cut. They made it seem like a big deal and they would be cutting a lot of people for this. I made it, so I am super happy about that, but less happy than I thought Id be since it wasnt really huge deal. Whatever.

So I edited all my patterns last night, cut my jacket fabric, and managed to cut to panels out of my remaining jersey for my dress. Just waiting on the rest of it to get here on wednesday. But I also realized since my jacket is now purple, not taupe, my lovely silk lining does not match…. :(

Senior Critique
So my critique didnt go well. I wanted to cry for like 2.5 seconds while the dean was talking to me. Basically, looks 1-3 are sophisticated, and they felt like 4 dropped the ball. So they want me to take the sleeves off look 5 and put the dress with look 6’s jacket, to make a new Look 4. Confusing.
So now I have to rethink an entire look. My original dress was a jersey panel in a linen...

Somewhere right now, Betsey Johnson is in Savannah. I never heard back about interviewing with her (wahhh cry cry :( so sad) but I am going to her talk this evening at 6pm. I am so super excited, but I wish I could get a chance to talk to her! If only….

Just saw an interesting article about a college woman who was questioned at the border of Canada and US because she was carrying condoms and lingerie with her, and the US officials tried to accuse her of being a sex worker. All these people are commenting and are appalled and talking about how awful it is.

Goodwill
Sometimes I go to goodwill and there is nothing there. Today I went and there was EVERYTHING! I limited myself to my $20 cash, as I could of gone really crazy today. My big find of the day is a 1930s satin wedding gown. I just washed it and it is drying, pictures to come! I also picked up some vintage lace. I had to leave behind a couple cute dresses and necklaces, but at $15, the wedding dress...
Just applied to like 20 jobs. I guess this is what I will be doing a lot of in the next few months. Today I focused on the Los Angeles area. I wonder if I will hear back from anyone…?

Although I probably wont win the popular vote (the current leader has like 400 something votes!) I noticed modcloth often chooses a couple more designs to make into a little collection, so fingers crossed I might still get chosen! :)

So fabric shopping in ATL was a bust
I found silk lining, but that’s about it. The knit fabrics were in extremely limited colors, and the silk charm I found in the perfect color only had a yard and a half left on the bolt. Waste of gas money to drive to ATL.
