Wish you had another chance to see the SCAD Fashion Show? You’re in luck! It’s now available on demand.
Pictured are designs by SCAD B.F.A. fashion student Danielle Elsener. Learn more about SCAD’s fashion program.
Hopefully for the last time, I re-drew my lineup. This reflects all the last minute changes, including changing my jacket sleeves on look 4 from a knit fabric to a woven silk. I saw my garments walk in the jury show today! And interviewed with jury members which went well. We will be emailed the results of who gets to be in the fashion show tomorrow!
ahhhhh I did it.
The jacket is missing from this picture on the farthest left model, but I will get better pictures some time. Trying to organize a photoshoot….but I find out Monday wether or not I got through the first cut into the Jury Show.
On a positive note, I fitted my model to start the process for my dress-and-jacket-in-a-week. My professor told me she was surprised I was able to get myself back to the fashion building after that critique. Haha, I guess it really was that bad.
Buuuut she told me that she knew from certain sources that as long as I finish my dress and jacket, I WILL be in the Jury Show, which is when we present our 4 looks to the outside judges who decide who gets in the fashion show. So I am motivated, making a plan, and starting to dye swatches tonight so I can be prepared once I get my fabric on Wednesday.
Plan:
Sunday: edit patterns, decide on color swatches
Monday: Finish editing patterns, cut jacket fabric
Tuesday: Sew jacket (waiting on sleeve fabric0
Wednesday: Receive fabric shipment, cut dress and jacket sleeves, begin dye process
Thursday: Baste garments, fit to model, AND SEW LIKE A DEMON OUT OF HELL
Friday: Four garment critique
